Last 2 places belongs to FMJD (Wild Card) and to China (will be known after internal qualification tournament).

With Women and Beijing we need to wait until World Championship (almost sure that will be organised on September in Ukraine).
We have 8 places for Women in SAWMG – 6 in order of World Cup (max 2 per country), Wild Card and China.

• We will use the program Tournament Manager with the FMJD Swiss on solkoff system. See Annex 5, French version, method “tirage au sort”, pairing by article 6.2 with the adjustment that the pairing in the first round will be done by the rating pairing method, annex 5, French version, article 5.6.The final order will be decided by: score, solkoff median, solkoff truncated.
• The referee has the right to accept equipment not fully equivalent to the FMJD standards (described in Annex III).

Within 7 weeks he will try to proof his leadership  in Ufa.

World Cup will be organised together with World Championship blitz. Perfect opportunity to visit beautiful Bashkokostan.

Good prizes (75.000 euro) should be additional motivation for top players and guaranty for others to see them there.

Sport Accord World Mind Games it will be unique event with 5 sports: Chess, Bridge, GO, Xiangqi and Draughts. All with really top players.

We will be represented with 12 man & 8 women. Prizes $90.000 will be divided into this 20 elite players. Also 8×8 player will be there with 6 players as a performance.

  • 12 players → 11 in order of WorldCup
  • 1 FMJD Wild Card
  • maximum 3 per country
  • minimum 1 per continent and minimum 1 from China

• Women
  • 8 players → 7 in order of WorldCup
  • 1 FMJD Wild Card
  • minimum 1 from China
  • maximum 2 per country

Competition

scoring

Players are playing unlimited number of games till first victory.
Score depends on moment of victory:
1^st game gives result → 12:0, 2^nd game → 9:3, 3^rd game → 8:4, 4^th or next … 7:5

Every game – rate of play is shorter!
- 1^st game 1h20′+1′ per move
- 2^nd game 20′ + 5” per move
- 3^rd game 5′+3” per move
- for all next 5′+2″ (for unlimited number of games)

12 players divided into 2 groups. After 5 round cross semifinals and finally direct duels for 1^st, 3^rd,… 11^th place

Women (8)
Simple round-robin tournament (7 rounds)

64-performance
round robin (5 rounds) then semifinals (1-4, 2-3) and finals

He open World Championship Women, but also had very interesting meeting with President of Republic of Bashkortostan.

President of the Republic Mr.Rustem Chamitow said that it will be big pleasure for him and all Republic to see Wolrd Cup tournament in Ufa on 2011.

Soon we can expect more details. But for that moment it is clear – on July 2011 (18/24) all top players from the World and also any other who wish we will see here in Ufa.
